VetScript adds safeguards that paper scripts cannot. Each eScript is uniquely identified, traceable, and cannot be altered once issued, which makes tampering far harder. Scripts can be cancelled in real time. They can also be ceased in real time, so that all remaining repeats after the initial dispense are cancelled.
Once a single-use prescription has been dispensed, it cannot be filled again.
Because the clinic and the pharmacy share the same record, any attempt to reuse or duplicate a script is easy to spot.
