Viewing & Printing Transmitted eScript Information

Use these instructions to help you view historical script information or print your e-script.

This guide has been created for prescribing veterinarians already using PetBooqz as their practice software and wish to view or print an eScript.

How to view and print transmitted eScript information

Navigate to the patient view

VetScript's integration is found within the patient view in PetBooqz. If there are any historical prescriptions that have been created, they will all be listed here in this tab. This makes it really easy to view all the historical prescriptions that have been created for your patients.

Every prescription has a barcode associated with it, as well as the relevant statuses for each one of these eScripts.

A Draft script is an incomplete eScript, while a Submitted script is an eScript that has been successfully created and sent to a designated pharmacy.

Once the eScript has been received and scanned by an authorised pharmacy in the VetScript network, the eScript is marked as Scanned.

Then, when the authorised pharmacy has dispensed the eScript, it is marked in the system as Dispensed.

eScript status and dispense transparency are valuable from a medication adherence perspective, compared to paper scripts provided to animal owners that offer no status visibility.

Click into the script record

If you'd like to confirm any eScript details or historical after submission, like pharmacy instructions, you can click into each eScript record, which contains those captured details.

Print your eScript

If you'd like to print your eScript, click the Print button, and the script will come up in your print queue.

Click into the relevant eScript. You are then provided with a printable prescription with all of the prescriber details, animal owner details, patient details, as well as medication details, all pre-filled for you.

All that's left is to print, sign, and you're good to go.
