Billing For Your Script Fee

Use these instructions to help you bill for script fees via VetScript's integration.

This guide has been created for prescribing veterinarians already using PetBooqz as their practice software.

How to bill for your script fee

Step 1: Choose your billing option

When you create an eScript, VetScript's integration will prompt you to bill for the medication and/or the prescription fee.

Your default billing method (whether to charge automatically or manually add to an invoice) is determined by your practice settings. You can review or change this in your Practice Settings before billing.

If billing is already in progress for that client, you'll see two options:

  • Use Existing Invoice: Add VetScript items to an invoice that's already been started.

  • Create New Invoice: Start a new invoice for this transaction.

Step 2: Make updates (if required)

The prescribed medication will automatically attribute the pre-configured script fee at the practice setting level. For this demo example, it is $11. If you need to make edits, click the Pencil icon and the Edit button.
